True :)We've seen this in class. One of the signals could be the eyes. If you ask a question where you know the answer from you'll look at the dog tapping untill the correct number, then you'll look away cause you don't expect another tap. That's when the dog knows when to stop.But then again, it's still a fantastic trick :)

Dogs and horses have both been trained to do this. Without realizing it, the person asking the question gives away the answer...they might relax their face, or lower their eyebrow, but eventually the animal figures out how to read these subtle cues, even if the person doesn't realize they are giving them. The way to stump the animal is to ask it a question you don't know the answer to :)
