Best ending of any television show ever! I've wathced this ending at least 10 times since the series ended and it still brings a tear to my eye. It is so true to life. The day-to-day dread and fear of losing the ones we love is both a burden and a blessing. It makes us appreciate the ones we love even more because we know how limited our time together on earth really is.

Billy was whining about how he spoke to Ted about him (Billy) getting emotional closure, presumably because Ted and Claire married twenty years before and Billy was heartbroken.
