O.K... you got me. Squats are better for a lot of people. Please watch my "Dumbbell Squats LEG WORKOUT" video. How about we compromise with: "Best Exercise for Thighs and Butt with NO Equipment" ???

thank you for this video/ I just tried the exercise and after about 10 of them my calves started shaking :(. I wanted to know if this exercise bulks you up or makes you lean.

Hi... and thanks! :-) Definitely don't do this if you feel it in your knee. And, yes, it does tend to work the thighs more than the glutes. I have some variations (and other exercises) for the glutes in my book, but it's beyond the scope of discussion here, especially with the 500 character limit. :-) Please check out my book... you won't be disappointed. It's the least expensive way to learn everything I know. Doug :-)

Hi, love the video. Um Question though. Will this help build up thigh and glute muscles? I have like no butt, and would like to increase it's mass. Will this workout help? Plus I notice when I do this exercise I feel the burn in my knee area, not in my upper thigh or glutes at all. Is that normal?
