we've heard it in our geography-lesson as i heard this song i loved it ... all hated it^^ it shall present (you'reright) the development) they sang about destroying their town , where many of there ancestors lived! i think it's a great song sad , that the band is broken :( the housemartins !!!

Consistently good band in their day. This, along with 'Think For A Minute' and 'Five Get Over Excited' were their pinnacle singles imo. A standout record during Christmastime '87 and should've easily reached the Top 10 instead of a measily no 15.

A curious fact: the bass player is Norman Cook, actualy know as Fat Boy Slim. He also plays the piano in this song.
