Ford doesn't build Mustangs to fly. That was true back in 1968 when Steve McQueen sent a GT 390 soaring over the hills of San Francisco in Bullitt. And it's true of the new 315-horsepower 2008 Mustang Bullitt. We jumped it anyway. Not because we wanted to, but because we had to. It's a Mustang Bullitt, and that means it's gotta fly. now i know that comparing a mustang to a ferari is not necessarily the fairest comparison, but im exemplifying it to say what can be done with a smaller engine. next, the mustang should have an independent suspension, i dont care what you say. even cheap cars have independent suspensions. my mazda6 cost 20,000 when it was new, and it has it for both front and rear wheels. even to take a bump, it needs it. for everything but dragging, this car sucks, and is not worth the money.

dude the thing is that the mustang needed to improve. some of the problems were that its v8 was massive compared to the microscopic horse power produced. so what did ford do? they needed to increase the engine .4 liters just to get 15 horse power? keep in mind here, it is possible to get alot of power out of a relatively small engine without supercharging/turbocharging. look at ferrari. 4.3 liter v8 making 480 bhp

A Mustang is a Mustang. If you expect it to be a sharp, quick-on-its-feet sports car, you're not going to like it. Its not a Lotus Elise. Its not designed to go around corners fast. Its basically designed to be the cheapest possible way to get a half decent V8 and RWD. Thats it. Ford really dropped the ball with the new 2010 Mustang though. "All new" and it sits on the same platform as the current Mustang with a whopping 315 bhp over the current 300 bhp Mustang. Camaro ftw.

this car sucks. if ford would just freaking put an independent rear suspension such as a multilink, than it would be good. but instead, ford gave it the same suspension that the covered wagons had in the 1800's, a live rear axle, making cornering impossible. you even saw it, when he was on the twisty mountain road, the second he turned, the back of the car sprang out.
