this true because Outkast and Goodie Mob was the only ones getting respect, TIP brought in the A, the word TRAP, TRAP music, and he helped usher in Jeezy, even though these rappers were doing their thing in TX, I dont think I would of known who Slim Thug and Paul Wall was with out TIP, UGK are Kings and Classic, but if you aint a real rap head you not gonna hear EVERYTHING so give this nigga credit.

Man, when I Was growing up down south my generation DID NOT listen to Outkast or Goodie Mob.. that was the generation before mine. They listened to Pastor Troy , T.I. and Ludacris. All Pastor Troy's best songs was in the 90's. T.I. had the biggest influence on ATL rappers in the new millenium. PERIOD.

You can't make a statement like that when T.I.P. himself said that it was because of PT, Kast and G-MO.B that the New South even had a chance. |
