The Doctors and the nurses are looked on as the savior for a very long time. The Patients appear up to them as the caretaker who will be able to take them away from home of their gloom and darkness and cure them of their diseases. For this same reason, the medical profession is thought-out to be a very dignified and an honorable one.

One of the most amazing aspects of this line of work is the Uniform.

Try to picture a hospital scenario. When we think of nurses or medical practitioners we always think of them in their clean, white uniform. The medical profession is considered as the noblest profession and the people in these professions are said to be God's angels as they give a new lease of life to ailing people and a relief to their physical miseries.

Nurses, doctors, and other medical professionals give the world comfort and hope. We respect our medical professionals like we respect no one else. How many times have we heard someone say, "Doctor's orders?" How many times have you had to provide your child's school with a doctor's excuse for being absent? Have you ever had to give a doctor's note to your boss for a missed day of work? This is all evidence of how we feel about our medical professionals.

In the days of the Civil War, a really good surgeon was one who could remove a limb in the shortest amount of time. Well, medicine has come a long way, and so has the professional garb that doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals wear on the job. A hundred years ago or so, most doctors wore an apron when they performed procedures or surgeries.

Our society, and indeed the whole world, admire and respect the medical profession. We look to our doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals to cure us of disease, give us comfort and hope during times of crisis, and support us in our search for good physical and mental health. It is important that our nurses live up to this noble deed, and it is also vital that they present themselves well to inspire comfort and confidence from patients.

For as long as anyone can remember, medical professionals have been held in high regard. If you go to any elementary school anywhere in the United States and ask any children at random, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" you are likely to hear such answers as "a policeman" or "a fireman" or "a mommy." Those are not the only responses you will probably hear, though; many little girls and boys all dream of growing up to become doctors and nurses, and as they get older and become more aware of other medical professions, they begin to add those careers into their list of possible ways to earn a living.
