Drinking Water: Step 1 in Weight Loss

Want to lose weight easily? The simplest solution and first step to weight loss should be to properly hydrate your body. How much water do you drink daily?

Our body is made up of about 60% - 75% water. As the water is used by the body, it is flushed out through the kidneys or the skin or other avenues. So doesn't it make sense that we need to consume that much per day to keep the body fueled?

In fact we will die within 3-4 days without it.
There's a lot of talk these days about detoxing and cleansing. In this 3-part series, we'll look at the many reasons to detox. Today, I'll focus on getting the garbage out.

When you eat food, ideally it will digest in the stomach and intestines. The nutrients will be absorbed through the walls of the intestines and carried on by the blood system.
Detoxing your body can aid in weight loss and health restoration. One reason to detox is to remove parasites which serve no healthy purpose.

Parasites are worm-like creatures living in your body that I'm sure you didn't intend to invite. Nearly all of us ... believe it or not ... have parasites living in our body. It's a fact of life.
Your liver is the most important organ in your body. Without it, you would die within 24 hours. But what does the liver have to do with weight loss? I bet you'll be surprised.

One of the primary purposes of the liver is to filter the blood, cleaning out anything that could be toxic to your body. This would include things like pharmaceutical drugs (yes, your body sees those as toxic), undigested foods, alcohol, viruses, bacteria, ingested chemicals (these can enter the body orally or via the skin, like pesticides, lotions, deodorants, make-up, hairspray).
A little known secret to lose weight and improve your digestive health is to eat foods in the right combination with other foods. It's a technique called Food Combining.

In a nutshell, at any one meal, don't combine proteins and carbohydrates/starches. You can eat vegetables with either proteins or carbohydrates. You should eat fruit alone without any other type of food.

Preparing for the Most Effective Detox

There are many ways to detox your body. There are herbals formulas, oxygen formulas, liquid herbal formulas, water detox, foot patch detox, enemas, and colonics just to name a few. There is no perfect one to use. They all have their benefits. It wouldn't be recommended to use more than one at the same time, but you could try different ones each time you detox and see which one gives you the best result.
Alzheimer's Disease effects about 10 percent of people over age 65 and nearly 50 percent of all people over age 85. It is a progressive disease that results in the degeneration of nerve cells in the brain and shrinking of the brain matter.

The United States accounts for 25 percent of the cases, yet we only represent about 4.5 percent of the world's population.
Many people feel they eat a healthy diet and don't need to supplement. There are many reasons you are not getting all the nutrition you think you are even if you have the "perfect" diet.

Vitamins and minerals are essential elements for all of our bodily functions and disease prevention. Many people believe they can get all of their nutrient needs from food.
Only in the small "health nut" circles has the idea of eating a raw diet been mainstream. Lately, however, it is gaining more wide-spread popularity. An increasing number of people are now promoting the variety of benefits from eating raw food.

Advocates of a raw food diet believe it is the most logical diet for humans. After all, our hunting and gathering ancestors ate a large majority of their diet in raw form.
For most of us, when we hear the word 'bacteria,' we think of bad things. It conjures up thoughts of infections and food poisoning and tomatoes pulled from grocery stores and restaurants. For those of us who are not health professionals, we may not be aware that some bacteria can fall in the beneficial category.

There are many types of bacteria that are beneficial to humans.
